What is private pay?
  • Private pay is home health care provided by our agency which is paid either out of pocket or through private health insurance. There is no supplement from a government program.

How much is it per hour for private pay services?
  • Please call 314-355-3679 ext. 269 for private pay services hourly pay.

Do I pay anything up front for private pay?
  • Yes. There is escrow at the time of signing the private pay healthcare agreement.  It’s a 2 week escrow required before start of services. 

Do home health aides work holidays?
  • Yes, they work holidays.
  • Recognized holidays are New Year’s Day, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving , Christmas and Juneteenth. 

Can I choose my own aide?
  • We will do a meet and greet with your eligible healthcare provider. If at any time, you feel your current aide isn’t a good fit, you can request a change of aide by contacting Deer Valley Home Health Care Main Office at 314-355-3679.

Do we accept insurance?
  • Yes, we accept  Medicaid. 
  • We also accept privately purchased healthcare insurance. 
  • Deer Valley Home Health will accept any private pay insurance coverage as long as they meet eligibility requirements.  Example “Bankers Life Insurance Company”.  

What is the cancellation policy for a private pay health agreement?
  • We simply need a 30 day notice before cancellation.

What is respite care in the home health industry?
  • Everyone needs a break. Respite care provides caregivers temporary relief while their loved one continues to receive care in a safe environment from a Deer Valley caregiver. Using respite services can support and strengthen your ability to be a caregiver during times of caregiver "burnout". 

What is advanced respite care?
  • When a client is bed bound and requires specialized care such as: turning and positioning, assistance with mechanical transfer equipment and assistance with elimination.
